Joshua Tamang

Hello! My name is Joshua Tamang, and I am a person who suffers from a complete T5 spinal cord injury, which leaves me restricted to a wheelchair and unable to control my trunk area due to the level of my injury. I got the injury in 2021, and the cause was a single-vehicle car crash that I was a passenger in. I did not have an extensive work history before my accident because I was only seventeen then, so I hope to stake my claim to a job willing to hire me and prove my worth.

I can promise an employer they will have my undivided attention due to my current circumstances. I do not have any job and collect SSI from the government monthly—it isn't something I am proud to say because I believe there are far more desperate people than me in need of SSI. I am only 21, and while I do suffer from a spinal cord injury, I believe I can work and not rely on supplemental income that is meant for the elderly and cripplingly sick.

Due to the pandemic, I took speech and debate in high school and qualified for national and state online. While I am not good at math, coding, or engineering, I am eager to please and can do something if I am taught with clear instructions. I will do my best and give the job my all.
