Kyla Robbins

I decided to obtain a degree in social work in order to advocate for people who are oppressed or disadvantaged. As a person who is disabled, I am able to model for others the adaptability needed to live in a world that has not been designed for the disabled. I desire to assist others in finding their strengths and abilities because of my learning to discover my own. I will listen with empathy and compassion to what has happened to the individuals that I help. I have worked with the disabled to help them find appropriate ways to express emotions and learn social skills.
