Work Experience: 12.5 years

Work Experience:

I am a recent Clinical Mental Health Counseling program graduate. I earned my Masters degree in August, 2023. Even though I have a disability, I feel that this may actually be helpful when working with prospective clients, as it will allow me to relate more effectively to their struggles as a resulting of my own experiences with barriers and needing to overcome them. This lived experience will help me provide efficient and quality services to people from diverse backgrounds, providing encouragement, demonstrating advocacy, and inspiring change within the lives of those who are struggling. I have experience with case management and documentation, mental health diagnosis, research and use of the internet, use of computers and the Office suite, tutoring, and special education. In addition to earning my mental health counseling license, I would like to earn my Certified Rehabilitation Counselor credential to help others like myself and beyond.
