Job Summary and Qualifications

PBX Operator is responsible for operating telephone business systems in order to relay incoming, outgoing, and interoffice calls. Provides clerical assistance and may work on various hospital projects as necessary.

What you will do in this role:

• Adheres to Facilities Policies and Procedures including the confidentiality and Patient’s rights policies as outlined in the Facilities Policies and Procedures Manual.
• Performs other tasks as may be assigned.
• Demonstrates professional practice and conduct at all times.
• Maintains professional growth and development through seminars and workshops to keep abreast of latest trends.
• Takes responsibility to regularly update self on knowledge of department and hospital communication and changes.
• Reports to work on time and absences are not to exceed hospital standards.
• Conducts job duties in accordance with established hospital, department and HCA North Cypress policies and procedures and standards.
• Conducts job duties in accordance with federal and state regulations i.e. CMS, JCAHO, TDSHS
• Serves as a resource to co-workers.
• Complies with legal and professional regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
